Because they all fit together somehow...

Media-generated controversy gets attention, he continued, and this presents a huge problem for those doing non-controversial, but immensely beneficial work with adult or umbilical cord blood cells.
“People aren’t talking about cord blood because it’s not controversial,” he said. “Consequently, it does not make headlines and therefore researchers who want to use the cells from cord blood do not receive funding.”
I also think it’s a matter of “follow the money”. The abortion industry could make even more money if they can convince the public (via the compliant media) that embryonic stem cells are the only game in town. The abortion industry also gets the added benefit (again via the media) of looking like heros who just want to “help” people.

What Rockefeller really wants is news that doesn’t hold him and his legislative buddies accountable. He doesn’t want news that would appropriately vet, say, President Obama, and uncover what he really believes and how it’s the complete opposite of what the majority of Americans believe. What he wants is a propaganda machine, which is why for the life of me I can’t figure out why he wants MSNBC taken off the air. Anyway, what this is really about is not what the American people want, but rather what he wants – freedom of speech and the Constitution be damned.
The bigger point here is the size of government. This is a prime example of why we must limit the size of government so as to maximize the freedom of the individual. Milton Friedman points out that every person works for their own self interest and the bigger the government, the better chance that a legislator’s self interest will conflict with yours. And when they conflict, we all know who wins that battle (i.e. Obamacare).
Coexist? Tell the Muslims that. (Content Warning: Many of the photos at the link are graphic and very upsetting.)
This is just awesome! Fred Phelps and his stupid little cult suck!
Lefty women are perpetual teenagers. So, they still act like one of the “mean girls” in high school. No substantive arguments? Bring on the sexual degradation and remarks about appearance.
Chris Matthews is an asshole. I have more personal examples than I can count where I have busted my ass to help someone who just so happens to be a liberal. That person repays this help with insults, ingratitude, nastiness and a sense of entitlement. Yes, I know, I’m a sucker for putting up with it. But I love this person. This person is family and I can’t turn my back on them.
More from Ace:
Because [they] are pursuing in their minds some greater good involving the abstract, in the tangible ethical decisions of everyday life, they cheat and behave more selfishly than conservatives — because they feel they’re already doing some moral thing like only buying local produce so that gives them some wiggle room to behave unethically in their personal lives. Papal indulgences again, in other words.
Conservatives believe the opposite. We think we have a high duty to perform ethically in our personal real lives and less of a duty to just generally give money or other support to people we don’t know and never could know. We’re sort of against alienation of the moral sense from its ultimate object.
I’ve never been to a Tea Party, but I am very sympathetic to their aims. I have wanted to get involved for the longest time. Because I agree with the Tea Party’s concerns, Arianna Huffington, Oprah Winfrey, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert would call me “insane” (they are supporters of the so-called “Rally for Sanity”, an anti-Tea Party rally). Because I agree with the Tea Party on the Constitution and responsible government, Janeane Garofalo and Carrie Fisher would consider me a “racist”. Now, according to Chris Matthews and other liberal pundits, I am also a selfish, “every man for himself” kind of woman.
Unlike the above people who would condemn me for agreeing with the Tea Party movement, I am not rich. I use what little money I have to help people, particularly people who probably call me a “teabagger” behind my back.
Obama and the rest of the left really despise the people of this country.
But the left is pushing this idea that we can safely “absorb” many new 9/11’s with an eye towards getting us to “accept” the greater bargain they fatuously offer — peace, and a general wind-down of post-9/11 security “overreactions” like the FBI tracking Muslims suspected of terrorist ties. If only we didn’t overreact to the occasional mass-murder, we could go about our business without war, without increased security measures, without “Islamophobia,” without the rest of it.
The problem, you see, is primarily within us, those being targeted for murder. If only we understood that this was a good bargain in exchange for living in a multicultural country and global economy, then we could be good citizens of the world and not lash out so terribly and uselessly when some of the more aggressive proponents of multiculturalism blow up a few of our buildings.
They will spin this, but this is what Obama is getting at, what the left is constantly saying, but which leftist politicians are careful never to say publicly: for the good of relations with the Muslim world we’re just going to have to be mature about mass murder.
Along with hating women, music, art, kites and countless other innocuous things, Islam also hates dogs. It doesn’t matter that dogs are loyal creatures who love unconditionally and are part of God’s creation…if Mohammad hated them, then Islam hates them. (Via.)
Keeping dogs as pets, according to the Tehran Times, has become remarkably common among Iranians, particularly those living in metropolitan areas. Police have been assigned the task of confiscating dogs from people who walk them in public. The confiscated dogs are destroyed and burned in incinerators.
The istifta inquired why is a dog considered unclean under shariah despite a lack of any references to dogs in the Holy Quran.
In his response to the istifta, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi emphasized that under shariah, dogs are, indeed, filthy creatures that no believing Muslim should touch, let alone keep as a pet.
I really resent the presumption that I’m going there to play to right-wing Nazi jews [sic]. If Elvis-f-ing-Costello wants to pull out of a gig in Israel because he’s suddenly got this compassion for Palestinians, then good on him. But I have absolutely one rule, right? Until I see an Arab country, a Muslim country, with a democracy, I won’t understand how anyone can have a problem with how they’re treated.
With great reliability Obama stands athwart the feelings of ordinary Americans. Indeed, he is a much more ardent defender of the faith of Musims than he is of the United States, of its history or of its people. Obama’s defense of the mosque at Ground Zero highlights his adversarial stance and is thus a particularly valuable addition to the record.
Here are the members of JournoList. Here’s hoping that as many as possible will be joining the ranks of the unemployed soon — especially those from NPR, who are payed by our tax dollars.
Of Mosques and Men: Reflections on the Ground Zero Mosque - Anyone who thinks this is “no big deal” is nothing but a useful idiot for Muslims.
JournoList Rogues’ Gallery - These arrogant pricks and skanks hate their fellow Americans and plotted to slander and lie about conservatives, Tea Party folks or anyone else who dared oppose their far left agenda. Even journalists who dared to not lob softballs at Obama were targets. Haters of our Constitution (particularly the 1st Amendment), they dreamed of using government powers to shut down Fox News. They also relished the thought of men they disagree with dying painful deaths or being thrown through windows. They need to be named and shamed.
And for a bunch so eager to play the race card whenever possible, they sure are white.
Many thanks to iOwnTheWorld.com for putting this together.
