Islam is not conducive to healthy, functional families:
Arab and Muslim sons desperately want their fathers. But their fathers are busy marrying other, younger wives, having other, newer children, and founding financial empires. They want their fathers to redeem them from the shameful fate of living in a world of mainly women–which they do when they are very young; and of course, they want their fathers for reasons of identity and inheritance.
If Arab Muslims truly want to change the culture in which terrorism flourishes and which includes the master handlers and manipulators (Nancy Kobrin and I call them “serial killers by proxy”), the sexually repressed and permanently “shamed” young men, the permanently endangered women, and the homicide-and-hate preachers—that culture will have to undergo a revolution as far as women are concerned.
Think about what that revolution might look like. Polygamy; forced, arranged child marriage; purdah; forced veiling; female illiteracy; female genital mutilation; female sexual slavery; gender segregation; sexual repression/obsession; in short, everything that characterizes Islamic gender apartheid would have to go.
As would Islamic religious apartheid.
This reminds me of the unserious banter and “shout outs” before addressing the Fort Hood terrorist attack. (Not to mention the denial that it was terrorism at all.)
Depressing, but true:
Everything that is bad for America is good for Obama and the Democrats. They know it and what’s more, they’ve planned for it. They have, at last count, the money, the power, high-ground position, the media, the academy, and the Big Lie all working for them.
To take just one example of bad things that are good for the Obama gang, unemployment.
Unemployment continues and deepens? Excellent. Just extend and expand the benefits via this or the next stimulus. Unemployed people on the dole are dependent people. Dependent people that are dependent on you vote for you. Always.
Conservatives may say that people want the “dignity” of work, but that only works when there’s dignified work to be had. In case you haven’t noticed, dignity is in short supply around here in the culture and in the workplace. Dignity lies in the making of things, not the servicing of the customer.
Jobs in the service sector don’t usually come with dignity attached. Delivering a pizza or talking into a headset at a drive-through doesn’t have the same pay or pride attached as working on a line making Thunderbirds. Lots of jobs with dignity have either been off-shored or handed over to illegals for years now. Unlikely to return.
Instead what we have now is the unrelenting expansion of the dole from the previously hard-core unemployable and indigent to a much wider swath of social layabouts. Unemployment is easily transmuted into disemployment and as long as you manage expectations and provide enough for drugs and television you can carry an indigent class for decades and count on it’s votes to carry you in office for even longer.
Proof of what we skeptics have suspected all along. This is not about so-called climate change or “saving the planet”. This is about promoting socialism and killing capitalism. It is also about petty left-wing dictators and their jealousy and hatred of America.

Drop her off in the Alaskan bush and she’ll survive just fine, thank you very much. Palin doesn’t need or want anything from liberals — not hate crimes legislation that coddles her, and not abortion, which she abhors. Palin is a woman of deep and abiding faith. She takes no marching orders from messiah-like wannabes like Obama.
And so the Left must try to destroy her. And they are doing this in the most malicious of ways: by symbolically raping her.
The extreme Left still consider themselves warriors, righteous soldiers for their Marxist cause. With Palin, they use sexual violence as part of their military arsenal. Palin is not the only intended victim. As Against Our Will described, the brutality is also aimed at men. By forcing men to witness Palin’s violation, the Left tries to emasculate conservative men and render them powerless. The wilding of any woman is reprehensible. But defiling a mother of five with a babe in her arms, and a grandmother to boot, is particularly obscene. It is, of course, Palin’s unapologetic motherhood that fuels the leftist fire. Because as a mother and a fertile woman, Palin is as close to the sacred as a person gets. She is not just politically pro-life. Her whole being emanates life, which is a stark contrast to the darkness of the Left, the life-despoilers. These “progressives” are so alienated from the sacred that they perceive nothing as sacred. And they will destroy anyone whose goodness shines a mirror on their pathology. The spiritually barren must annihilate the vital and the fertile.
Trying KSM in a public, civilian trial is amazingly insensitive to the Pearl family and to the 9/11 victims’ families.

This stamp of approval from on high will no doubt prove fleeting, however. If Saw XII were to depict the slaughter of federal bureaucrats running Obamacare’s proposed Health Choices Administration, I doubt the filmmakers will find themselves greeted with the same degree of gleeful let’s-revel-in-the-social-satire!critical panache.

The (perhaps unintentional) well from which much of the horror of the Saw series has previously been drawn — presuming you empathize with the victims — is the staggering amount of suffering someone who believes they are doing what’s in the best interest of uncooperative others can inflict. The more Jigsaw moralizes, the wider he throws his net, greater the indictment of messianic do-gooderism grows.
