Because they all fit together somehow...
Obama simply lucked out when this particular terrorist turned out to be incompetent. Obama continues to be unserious when it comes to national security.
The media loves torture porn if the victims are the “right” people:
This stamp of approval from on high will no doubt prove fleeting, however. If Saw XII were to depict the slaughter of federal bureaucrats running Obamacare’s proposed Health Choices Administration, I doubt the filmmakers will find themselves greeted with the same degree of gleeful let’s-revel-in-the-social-satire!critical panache.
Jigsaw sounds like someone who would get along really well with Stalin, Mao or Che Guavara:
The (perhaps unintentional) well from which much of the horror of the Saw series has previously been drawn — presuming you empathize with the victims — is the staggering amount of suffering someone who believes they are doing what’s in the best interest of uncooperative others can inflict. The more Jigsaw moralizes, the wider he throws his net, greater the indictment of messianic do-gooderism grows.
Of course Obama had a ghostwriter. He just wasn’t honest enough to admit it. And a slimeball like Ayers will eventually want the credit.
My understanding of communists is that most would know better and keep their mouths shut. But Ayers is a bit different. He is, as he says, a “small ‘c’ communist,” but he is also, in a certain, slimy way, an entrepreneur, as we explained in Monday’s post. (Apologies in advance to entrepreneurs everywhere.) He grew up a very rich kid, used to getting everything he wanted. Even as an adult his career has relied on a hand up from his wealthy father. His past statements and radical activities also mark him as a megalomaniac. In youth he drew attention to himself by blowing things up. As an adult “educator” he merely attempts to subvert children. But that doesn’t seem to be going so well.
He is under a lot of pressure, too. Ayers and his horrid wife Bernardine Dohrn are believed to have planned and executed the San Francisco Park Police Station bombing in 1970 that killed police sergeant Brian V. McDonnell and wounded several others. Efforts to bring them to justice have been underway for some time, as brought to light this past March in a National Press Club conference put on by Cliff Kincaid of America’s Survival.
Cliff’s guests included Larry Grathwohl, the FBI’s undercover agent who penetrated Ayers’ Weather Underground and produced this stunning testimony about Ayers’ plan to massacre 25 million Americans, retired S.F. policeman James Pera, first on the scene at the bombing, and veteran researcher Trevor Loudon.
Nice one, Obama. Proof that socialists are economic retards.
Maxine Waters is a disgrace. First, for using a disgusting sexual reference to refer to fellow citizens practicing their First Amendment rights. Secondly, for apparently wanting to round up and interrogate these citizens for the “crime” of opposing Obama’s policies.
So, is the new definition of “racism” from now on going to be, “any disagreement with Obama’s policies”? Doesn’t this cheapen the word “racism” and cause it to lose its meaning? Isn’t it a rather cowardly tactic to call someone a “racist” so that you (or those you agree with) can avoid criticism?

Their increasing anxiety and fear of failure are typified in the words of the leader of their party, who wants Republicans to keep their mouths shut while he “fixes” health care.
“I don’t want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking,” the president said Thursday at a political rally in Virginia. “I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess.”
So much for the promises of bipartisan lawmaking. So much for open discussion. So much for understanding who really caused the “mess” in the first place. Like Al Gore claiming the debate about global warming is over, the White House simply wants to shut down dialogue over who controls more than one-seventh of the economy.
There truly is nothing new under the sun:
Aristotle warned: “Republics decline into democracies and democracies degenerate into despotisms.” The Federalist papers show us that the founding fathers understood this all too well. Just as the Roman Senate became more “democratic”, so to our own Senate changed from being indirectly elected to direct popular election in 1913. We were founded as a republic partly because democracies become weaker as they grow whereas republics can become stronger.

Sergeant Crowley, the sole class act in this trio, helps the handicapped Professor Gates down the stairs, while Barack Obama, heedless of the infirmities of his friend and fellow victim of self-defined racial profiling, strides ahead on his own. So who is compassionate? And who is so self-involved and arrogant that he is oblivious?
In my own dealings with the wealthy and powerful, I have always found that the way to quickly capture the moral essence of a person is to watch how they treat those who are less powerful. Do they understand that the others are also human beings with feelings? Especially when they think nobody is looking.

As is typical in many large urban centers, many of Chicago’s poor were visiting hospital emergency rooms for non-emergencies. While she was a highly-paid Vice President at the prestigious University of Chicago Medical Center, Mrs. Obama duly concocted the Urban Health Initiative (UHI) as a solution.
Under the UHI, Medicaid/Medicare patients were redirected from the Medical Center’s ER, to small, faraway clinics — thus freeing up the Medical Center’s precious resources (critics say) for the exclusive use of wealthier patients with private insurance.
